Drexel University's 74-acre University City campus functions as the heart of West Philadelphia, with a vibrant community to the west and the iconic 30th Street Station to the east.

This placement near housing, restaurants, and public transit makes Drexel’s main campus incredibly convenient for both students who live in Philadelphia and those who commute. Students receive a multitude of opportunities to thrive in University City, with an extensive catalog of academic offerings available. They’ll also be surrounded by iconic Philadelphia landmarks, including nationally recognized museums right in their backyard.

Directions

  • Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4 (NJ-73).
  • Take NJ-73 North to Betsy Ross Bridge/NJ-90, which is a left-hand exit.
  • Cross the Betsy Ross Bridge and follow signs for I-95 South.
  • Follow I-95 South to I-676 West (Central Philadelphia).
  • Follow I-676 West to the I-76 East exit (Philadelphia Int'l Airport).
  • Follow I-76 East to Exit 345 (University City/30th Street Station). Merge right and continue up the ramp.
  • Take I-95 South to I-676 West (Central Philadelphia).
  • Follow I-676 West to I-76 East exit (Philadelphia Int'l Airport).
  • Follow I-76 East to Exit 345 (University City/30th Street Station). Merge right and continue up the ramp.
  • Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326 (I-76/Valley Forge/Philadelphia).
  • Follow I-76 East to Exit 345 (University City/30th Street Station). Merge right and continue up the ramp.
  • Take I-476 South to Exit 16 (I-76/Valley Forge/Philadelphia).
  • Follow I-76 East to Exit 345 (University City/30th Street Station). Merge right and continue up the ramp.
  • Take I-95 North to I-676 West (Exit 22 - on the left-hand side).
  • Follow I-676 West to I-76 East exit (Philadelphia Int'l Airport).
  • Follow I-76 East to Exit 345 (University City/30th Street Station). Merge right and continue up the ramp.

There are several options available to you. Please note that parking expenses are not reimbursable.

  • Drexel University Parking Garage, 34th Street between Chestnut and Market Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19104 - After taking Exit 345, at the top of the ramp make a right-hand turn and continue to Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Continue along Market Street and turn left onto 34th Street. Turn left onto Ludlow Street and enter the Drexel University Parking Garage on your left. For more information including locations and rates, please visit the Drexel Parking Services website. Pease make payment prior to leaving after the tour. There is a 15-minute grace period after payment to exit. Walk south on 34th Street, then turn left to walk east on Chestnut Street. Proceed along Chestnut Street for two blocks. Drexel's Main Building will be on your left.
  • Parkway Parking, 3051 JFK Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 215-222-9877 - After taking Exit 345, continue up the ramp and turn right at the traffic light. Continue to the 2nd traffic light, which has a green sign for "West 3" and turn right. On your right Parkway Parking. After you have parked, walk south until you reach Market Street, and then turn right to walk west along Market Street. Turn left onto the footpath at the Paul Peck Alumni Center and follow the path south. Drexel's Main Building is just ahead on the left.
  • Park America, 3101 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 215-222-3005 - After taking Exit 345, continue up the ramp and turn right at the traffic light. Continue to the 3rd traffic light (Market Street) and turn right onto Market Street. Park America is on the right side of Market Street just past the light at 31st Street. After you have parked, walk west along Market Street. Turn left onto the footpath at the Paul Peck Alumni Center and follow the path south. Drexel's Main Building is just ahead on the left.
  • Metered parking is also available on many of the surrounding streets. If you choose this option, the kiosks located along the street will accept quarters, dollars, and credit cards. Please be mindful of signs that detail parking and meter regulations. Metered parking on Chestnut Street is available until 3 p.m.

From Philadelphia International Airport

Take SEPTA's R1 train to 30th Street Station (30th and Market streets), which is two blocks from Drexel's 大学城校区. Directions from 30th Street Station.

Amtrak

Amtrak trains stop at 30th Street Station (30th and Market streets), which is two blocks from Drexel's 大学城校区. Directions from 30th Street Station.

SEPTA Regional Rail

All Regional Rail trains stop at 30th Street Station (30th and Market streets), which is two blocks from Drexel's 大学城校区. Directions from 30th Street Station.

SEPTA Subways and Trolleys

The Market-Frankford Line (the Blue Line) stops at 30th and 34th streets, and all trolley trains (the Green Lines) stop at 30th and 33rd streets. Directions to the Main Building are below.

From 30th Street Station to Main Building

  • Walk one block south to Chestnut Street.
  • Follow Chestnut Street west, passing under a train bridge, to the Main Building located on the northeast corner of 32nd and Chestnut streets.

From 33rd or 34th Street and Market Street to Main Building

  • Walk one block south to Chestnut Street.
  • Proceed east on Chestnut Street. The Main Building is located on the northeast corner of 32nd and Chestnut streets.
