Since graduating from Drexel’s Graduate Fashion Design program in 2016 at age 61, Nancy has been making her place in the fashion world. Her red carpet look at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards for Philadelphia Grammy Nominee Rapper Tierra Whack went viral and was one of three looks to be featured in the New York Times.
In March 2019, Philly Fashion Week invited Nancy to be a featured designer. In August, Philadelphia Magazine named Nancy as “Best in Philly Fashion Designer for Artsy Dresses” in their annual “Best of Philly” awards. She ended the year by making history at age 64 as the oldest designer ever to be a contestant on Bravo TV's Season 18 of Project Runway.

Nancy's couture brand, Nancy Volpe-Beringer, was founded in 2016 and specializes in sustainability, inclusivity, and one-of-a-kind wearable art. Her award-winning designs use innovative textile manipulations, fabrications, and patterns. The entire line is designed and handmade in Philadelphia.
