Dana Farabaugh, MD, is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and senior associate dean of undergraduate medical education at Drexel University College of Medicine. She served as director for the medical student third-year Ob-Gyn Clerkship from 2010 to 2014, as well as director of the Ob-Gyn Pathway from 2010 to 2015. She was appointed associate program director of the Drexel/Hahnemann Ob-Gyn Residency program in 2012 and then became program director in 2015.
Dr. Farabaugh has been very involved in the national medical education scene in obstetrics and gynecology. In 2010 she was selected as one of 24 ob-gyn educators across the nation to participate in the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Scholars and Leaders Program, and in 2011 she received the National APGO Faculty Award for medical student education.
She has received additional training and certification in inter-professional education, including Advanced Master Trainer in TeamSTEPPs and a certificate in medical simulation from the Harvard Institute for Medical Simulation. She currently serves on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Standard Setting Committee.
