Which Pre-medical / Pre-health Program Is for Me?

You offer so many post-baccalaureate programs. How can I figure out which one is right for me?

Yes, we offer six different programs because we believe there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Each individual comes from a unique educational, cultural, and personal background, factors which shape their academic readiness for medical or other health professional schools. We developed multiple programs to cater to these diverse needs. It is important to note that these are only general guidelines since we assess all applicants holistically. This means that, in addition to academic metrics, we consider your background, experience and interests.

I am still not quite sure which program I should apply to. How can I get more information?

You can find more information on our program webpages, featuring student testimonials, and during our virtual information sessions. We also encourage you to reach out to us directly via email (CoM_MedicalSciences@drexel.edu) or phone (267.359.2761). When contacting us, please be prepared to provide information about your cumulative and math-science GPAs, test scores (if applicable), and a CV or Résumé. We can also put you in touch with a current student or alumni.

What are your application deadlines?

Applications for the 2024/25 academic year open in October 2023. The deadlines depend on the program. For the DPMS program, all materials (including test scores) need to be submitted by April 12, 2024, for the IMS program by May 15, 2024 and for all other programs, by July 31, 2024.

How long does it take to hear from you after I submit my application?

That depends on the program. Applications to the DPMS and IMS programs are reviewed by the MD program Admissions Committee using a rigorous selection process that includes an in-person interview of select candidates (see here for the DPMS timeline). All other applications are reviewed by our Division’s Admissions Committee with a typical turnaround for receiving feedback in about four weeks or less.

How much will it cost me to attend your programs?

Our MS programs charge a semester-based tuition rate for full-time students and are eligible for federal financial aid. Our career-changer PMED program charges a per-credit rate; you will find the per-credit tuition and fees for the PMED program on the "Tuition and Fees" under "Part-time Tuition and Fee Rates."
